Surroundbar 3000 and LG42LH30 - No Sound

I am not getting any sound when connecting to my LG42LH30 (only audio output is Digital Optical) and watching anything connected to my tv using an HDMI cable (cable box and Blu-ray). When I switch over to my Xbox using a component cable, or Wii using RCA cables, I receive sound through the soundbar. Does anyone know how to solve this so I can get sound while watching the other two?

I bet your tv only has digital optical out for the digital tuner, not for hdmi sources. My last tv did audio via hdmi > optical, but my new XBR does not.
