    Amen Steve!

    I have the sound of those card punchers forever in my head! Remember all the bad things people said about IBM? Hardly a peep about them anymore. They still make very fine products.

    Hi Ed!:biggrin::smile:

    Hello Carl!!! :biggrin::smile::biggrin:

    As has been mentioned, Steve Jobs has taken a leave of absence from Apple for health reasons. This is big news in this area, and gets a lot of press. He probably is dying, and while we all die, it is a shame when we go early due to some BS disease that science will cure in the relatively near future. At least that is my hope.

    Anyway, back to Apple. While having non-standard screws is probably irritating, there are better reasons to be angry at, or even dislike, Apple. However, hate is a bit to strong of a word for using non-standard screws.

    Where Apple has really “screwed” up is not offering lossless files for sale on iTunes. They can sell all the MP3s they want, but they should still offer both lossless, and high res, files for sale. To not do that is unacceptable, and while I love my iPod, I hate not being able to easily get high-res files for it.

    Punching cards and feeding a stack of them into a reader and waiting until you got back a pile of "greenbar" to see if your program worked like it should have.

    Not derailing, but let's not forget the wonders of the good ol' fashioned chain-driven printer that spit out that greenbar.
    Pretty rustic, but marvelous, technology.

    If you don't own an Apple product then, you are not cool!! Haven't you seen the commercials? This is proof! I am shocked they would let anyone with a PC into a Starbucks!! What's wrong with this world!!

    If that isn't the most generic overused anti-Apple statement, I don't know what is.
