Input source changes automatically on Surroundbar 3000 IHT

I recently purchased a Surroundbar 3000 IHT. I was able to successfully program the remote for vol up, down, and mute, but the Surroundbar 3000 at random intervals, automatically changes the input source.
I only have one source hooked up (source 1 - the optical input). It works fine fore a few minutes, but seems to change under a couple of different conditions. First, it seems that many of the remote control buttons that I use fore cable tv operation flip the input source from 1 to 2 then 3 then back to 1 with no discerable pattern, and second, even if I am just watching tv with no remote control operation, the imput source will randomly switch. I grab teh small remote to change back to source 1, but a few minutes later it does the same thing.
