I have about 3000 Hot Wheels....all the way back to '69. Still in blisterpacks. Probably 99% of my collection are still sealed. I have lots of limited edition pieces with only a couple hundred made.

I also have a hundred or so unbuilt model cars and trucks...still sealed of course.

But, as of late, I have been on a serious vinyl binge. I am at around 1100 or so at the moment, with a couple hundred more that I am currently "grading" and adding to the mix.

DAMN IT! that is super awsome:cool: you can get some serious $$$ for those from '69 especially

Old classical Vinyl albums I use for decoration because a lot of them I've either played the song, love the song or the cover just looks cool, OR the composer/conductor/orchestra are really famous... plus you get them for a buck:biggrin:

Gotta agree with you there. I am especailly fond of vintage bamboo and fiberglass rods and old reels. I fish with all of them too. I think if the makers of a lot of these vintage rods and reels were still alive today and knew that lot's of folks buy them just to hang them on the wall and not actually use them, well they would blow a gasket. Vintage rods are like vintage cars, they were made to be used.

oh yeah for sure. those Bamboo rods are pretty sweet! and expensive. this wasn't a bamboo rod or anything but i think I picked up a new fly rod that cost $1,000 or somethin like that, that's a huge pile to sink into one but it was so light and very well made, you could tell just by holding it that it was top quality.

I should have never started this Spawn action figure thing because my brother in-law has a Nightmare Spawn and a Spawn 11 that he got from Toys R Us about 3 or 4 years ago and I want them badly, problem is he doesn't want to get rid of them for some obvious reason and will not sale them to me. I'm really bummed out. I actually suggested he buy the two figures just because they looked good and were something like 11.99 each, I was an idiot for not buying them myself. now you can't get the Nightmare spawn or any other spawn the character figure for less than $30. You can get a few for less but none of the good ones.

Whatever happened to swizzle sticks? I used to have a bunch of em, and also matchbooks from various eateries and watering holes. Seems like they're not served with cocktails anymore. Stupid little straws!

What kind of rod did you get? Inquiring minds want to know;-) Yeah flyrods are a lot like audio gear in that once you get used to the good stuff (usually this means expensive), the lesser stuff just doesn't cut it anymore. I am lucky in that I get a deep discount being a guide, otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford most of the stuff I own. If only I could get a guides discount on audio gear. LOL!
