Sorry, I had another xlr thread somewhere. This is regarding the audio cables I seen online at monoprice. One end of the cable is rca (which I can use on my Onkyo receivers pre-out), the other end of the cable is xlr (which I can connect to my Emo amp). Does anyone in this community know if that arraignment is giving me the true intended purpose of a xlr balanced cable?
LIVING ROOM: Onkyo TX-NR808 Receiver | Emotiva XPA-5 Amplifier | Polk Dsw Pro 660wi Subwoofer | Polk RTi A9 Fronts | Polk CSi A6 Center | Polk FXi A6 Surrounds [5.1 Channel Setup]

No, the RCA is unbalanced so the cable is unbalanced. Just stick with RCA<->RCA.

That is in effect, just an adapter from one to the other, zero benefit.

Defeats the purpose of balanced signal.
