Def Tech SSA-42 with Polk F/X Surround?

Hi, first post! I'm thinking of buying a Polk F/X wireless surround to pair with a def tech SSA-42. I'm driving the system with a new Onkyo TX-608. Great system, but would like some actual active surround, versus the passive stuff I'm getting from the sound bar.
One concern I have is the F/X surround bar has 4 discrete drivers (not counting bass), for L/R surround and side channel L/R surround. The soundbar has built-in L/R rear. Which would I better use, and would I be cheating the phoenomenal sound bar by not connecting the drivers that are dedicated to surround?
Thanks for any advice you can provide.

This all depends if you have the surround bar calibrated correctly and have proper placement in a room that the surround bar can shine.
Tell me about your room and placement so I can answer your question. On a side note I Install Def Tech all the time and know your surround bar very very well.Dan

It's a pretty big room actually, probably 50' X 20', ceilings vaulted at about 20'. The entertainment system is at the front right wall, facing the back wall. The listening area (my couch) is 15' from the entertainment system. Haven't quite worked out where I would put the F/X. But any advice is welcome.
Yeah, it's a big room for the SSA-42, but it surprisingly does an amazing job at filling the room. I have an older Onkyo sub hooked up to a new Onkyo TX-SR608 receiver, and mostly drive digital media and blu ray via PS3. -
It's to big for that speaker. You should have got the SSA50.Dan

It was a gift, so I didn't exactly get a choice. However, it sounds awesome, believe it or not. But that's not what my questions was; since I'm stuck with the SSA-42, I'm wondering if it's a good match with the Polk F/X. And, if so, how best to configure the side rear channels (use the Def Techs or use the F/X's side rear speakers).
