One of the drivers of my RT-12 speaker was found corroded and loose; the whole assembly had to be glued back piece by piece. What could have happened?

    Hello,
Thanks for posting to the Forum. From your description, I'm not sure what could have happened to the driver. There isn't anything built into the speaker that could leak and cause corrosion. Is it possible some material, external, could have gotten onto the driver? Do you live in a humid locale? Or, is the speaker used in a room with high humidity? If you'd like you are certainly encouraged to send the driver to us at Polk Audio, 5601 Metro Drive, Baltimore, MD. 21215 to my attention and I can ask the engineering department to examine the driver.
    Best regards, Ken Swauger
