Well, I don't know about the rest of the DFW Polkies but we have measured 6 inches of the white stuff here in Allen and it is still falling. Roads are fine now but we will have wonderful ice on the roads up here tomorrow. My parents live 45 minutes to the SW and they don't have anything on the ground. My kids are going to love it when they get up from their naps!
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius. :D

Well, the entire Charlotte and surrounding areas have pretty much closed up shop and we haven't even had a single snowflake. Where I live, they are expecting a 1/4" of accumulated ice. The last time they predicted this is when we lost power for two weeks.

Today, I made some Texas Hash, meatballs and chicken salad. Enough to eat off of for about a week and a half. The bread, milk and surprisingly the meat at all of the supermarkets are already cleared out. Tonight, we'll be making a pumpkin crumb coffee cake and about 3 dozen cookies to munch on if the worst case scenario actually hits.

We actually have about 3" here in ATL metro. That has all fallen in the last 2-3 hours. A layer of sleet came down first so the unsalted, un-plowed roads are an absolute mess here. The snow/sleet/freezing rain is supposed to keep up all the way through tomorrow. Just about everything in North Georgia will be shut down tomorrow. I'm not planning on going anywhere for the next 36 hours.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

True dat. So if you think about it, having that big new machine, but not getting the snow makes sense, and is probably a good thing.
