NOTE: A new FTC requirement from here on out is that all demo's and their subsequent review must contain a disclaimer that the product being reviewed is being "borrowed" or in other words, not purchased by the "reviewer". I'll work out the legal issues with Polk in the interim but for now, all reviews will be submitted directly to me offline.

What??? Since when do they care whether a reviewer owns them or if they are on loan?

I believe that Mark is talking only about the items that Polk offers as demo's. Sounds like there have been instances where people thought that they were able to keep the demo gear following reviewing it or that there might have been a conflict of interests where some companies have offered HUGE discounts on the purchase of demo gear in hopes of getting favorable reviews.

I'm definitely interested in the TL3 and Wireless FX demos. I've experienced the Wireless FX and I was truly intrigued--can't wait to hear what the final product is like.

One question though, how is the Wireless FX powered? Does it require an AC outlet or does it run on battery?
I couldn't find that on the specs on the site, but from the description it seems like it would be battery operated (for self contained), but me thinks it would require AC for 120watts of power???:
    # A completely self-contained surround-channel sound system f... powered by a compact 120 Watt multichannel DSP amplifier.
    # Easy connections: Just connect the compact transmitter to the rear-channel outputs of your processor. .... No room-spanning wires!

Also from the picture, would it really work well sitting under a glass table like that?

I am curious about that as well and should know soon enough. That is almost the exact type of setup that I would have here at the house. If they show it like that SURELY they tested it like that! All of the wireless equipment Polk is rolling out is very impressive and could make for such an easy setup that should make them much more appealing to consumers as a result.

Well, I just opened the box and it is the PRO 550wi, but there is no wireless transmitter device (I forget the part # for that extra piece).

Mark, do you want to ship one to me and keep it with the Demo or just use this non-wireless like a PRO 500? Either way is fine with me.

    Mark,

The Sub arrived this morning. Box seems to be in very GOOD shape....just a couple of very small nicks in the TOP. Haven't had a chance to open her up yet--will do that later today and PM you on the final condition. I'm pretty sure we're fine. Look forward to the DEMO.

I'm going to try it in three separate systems. A basement Rti-A3, Csi-3, Rti-4 System, the main HT upstairs...M70s,CS2, M30s with the ONKYO monster AVR. And my office two channel...switching the LSI-7s in for two channel evaluation--though 2 channel will also be looked at on the other two systems. In essence we'll have a review that places the MicroPro-1000 with some speakers from almost every current Polk line. Which will be good!

Many thanks, more later. I have some grading to do?
