I own a pair of Monitor 5 speakers and I would like to use them in my workshop. My shop has neither heat nor air conditioning. Will this harm my speakers? I live on the coast of North Carolina and summers can be hellish.Winters aren`t too bad but temps in the upper teens aren`t unheard of.The shop is dry and relatively clean but I don`t want to harm these speakers.I bought them new in the early eighties.Thank you for any information you may be able to give me.

I don't think I'd be too concerned about the temperature but the humidity and salt air where you live could possibly be a problem.

They should be fine but throw a towel over them when not being used. That way they will know you care.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
