Yes lots of it. But on a good note I got the day off because of it. I was not read to go back to work already. I didn't get enough time off this year.

My son and I shoveled the driveway and started on the side walks when nice very kind neighbor came with his snow blower. I gotta get me one of those , he did in minutes what took us an hour.
Afterwards we went to WaWa( Sorry Dave you don't get any LOL) and got some new Mexican Coffee( Dave you might want to fly out just to try this stuff , it's better then Kona) and I'm hanging around the house sipping. I love it.

Although, by our standards, there are not blizzard amounts of snow on the ground; the visibility is very low and its coming down and blowing all over the place so it's impossible to assess the amounts which are probably still less than you boys to the south, i.e., Boston, NYC, Phillie, etc.

Actually had a white Christmas in Atlanta. I'm sure it's been MANY years since that's happened.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

No doubt that was awesome to watch. I've been meaning to do something like that but just never got around to actually doing it. I love how the clock had to keep gettig moved up. :)

West of Philly I only got about 6", with the high winds most of it blew around-in some spots it was close to a foot, while in others I could see grass. I stayed home just because it was part of my Holiday off time anyway- waited until later in the day to snowblow the driveway--didn't take as long this time as it did in Feb.

Around 2' here with 4' drifts. Storm also took out one of my UPS's, which in turn took out a cable modem, router, and answering machine.

I'm glad I unplugged both rigs during the storm.

Ugh, we had a power outage yesterday that decided to flicker at least a dozen times in rapid succession before going out. I was convinced SOMETHING electronic would be destroyed (particularly either my getting-long-in-the-tooth DLP TV or some computer component) but luckily everything survived.

So weird hearing of all this snow down south. Not all that much snow here and whether is very nice (20 degrees right now). Maybe North America is turning upside down:smile:

Not that I want to **** about the snow 'cause I don't. I'm actually quite disappointed. They were calling for 12+ inches in my area. We barely got 7" . 6.7" was the official numbers for my area. It was all powder too so it was blowing around like crazy. Wasn't even worth shoveling 'cause it'd just blow right back on anyway. A neighbor used a snow thrower and it did no good at all. I'm disappointed in this snow.

But I did go out and drag out the beast! The 42" by 26" snow thrower attached to the front of my tractor is quite impressive! I decided I should test it out since it's not critical to have right now 'cause I gots no place to be. YAY VACATION! WOOHOO!

So I pulled it out and it struggled with wheel spin. Bummer. Gotta get chains and fill the weight bucket for the back. But I did get it out to the street and it cleared the street in front of my house in about 10 minutes on it's first run! Snow boulders from the plow, the frozen icing layer on what melted yesterday and refroze last night and even the 3.5 foot pile from my neighbor shoveling out his Camry were no match!

Next time it snows, I'm takin' off and I'm just gonna drive around the neighborhood on my tractor throwin' some snow out of all the driveways and walks I can find! This thing's a blast!

And you didn't read my post. I wasn't complaining at all. I was expressing disappointment at how meager the snow actually was and lamenting the fact that it wasn't worth the gas to use the snow thrower. Nice try though.

What I should start doing is complaining about Canadia since the entire population of the country seems to have it in for me. Why don't you people go out in the snow make snow angels? You know, if you lay face down and smile, your lovely smile gets imprinted on the snow as well! It's also more likely that a passing bear will think you are dead already and leave you alone. Although, a passing moose may find the action amorous and want to become intimate.

It was not directed at You. I did read your post, it was a general statement. I'm sure we would make angels if we had enough snow! As for the moose, you sound a tad jealous!;)
