One gift that restored the feeling that my wife listens to some of the stuff I talk about was Dark Side of the Moon on SACD. I didn't think she knew what all the mumbo jumbo I talked about was but when I opened it I couldn't have been happier.

    Odyssey Stratos Dual Mono Amp...

Well that was my early XMas to myself really. I got my wife a beautiful pearl necklace. The big one was for my 3 year old - her first XMas where she REALLY got excited. Lots of Dora the Explorer, Leapster, and bath toys. She's in toddler heaven today :)

I totally need one of those for my listening area...I've been thinking this for a while too. $270 isn't too bad of as price either.

It's all about laptop accessories this year.....wireless KB and mouse. New, bigger, LCD screen, and USB audio output unit for a bit better sound among other things.

But the best thing is having one's kids home. We have an older boy and his girlfriend, plus our 13 year old.

To James, above, that's great! I remember our daughter's first real X-mas and all the excitement. It's only been the last two Christmas's where she crossed the Santa line and realized that Dad was eating the cookies. The year in China, I think, was the watershed year...last year.

It's good to be HOME for the Holidays.

Enjoy everyone. And I'm sure Ed got a bit more than coal. Or at least I hope so. lol

I sold my Omega 3i and got a great price on the already cheap new Hoyt Bedford line of speakers from Omega; 8" full-range single driver.

Then I got my wife this custom photo of the 50th anniversary of Alvin Ailey from his famous piece "Cry" (it's also on of Acoustimac's Eco-friendly Art panel absorbers!! - double win ; )

    Mz0Zn.jpg
    FDwLV.jpg

It came out very black from the conversion to black and white and printing quality came out incredible; the pics don't really do it justice.

I got three awesome long sleeve shirts, a GC to BB, a tiny rubber Bison (my school's mascot is the bison), a Jawbone Prime BT headset (that I'm pretty sure I'll be swapping out for the Jawbone Icon), Music in Worship written by a family friend, Decision Points by Bush himself, and a Mana CD that I'm currently listening to.

Got Mom a new cutting board for the kitchen and a few pens that she loves writing with and an iTunes GC for Dad. Got Inception on BD for a friend and a Ford t-shirt for another.

And it started snowing about the middle of this morning and hasn't let up since!

    What a great Christmas!
