Full lunar eclipse is about a third underway here.

I've been trying to see it...but we've got way too much cloud cover here tonight unfortunately. We've been getting bombed with snow all day. Too bad...there's not supposed to be another one until 2014.

I was watching while in the spa. Nice. I saw a total eclipse of the sun around 71 while in Virginia Beach. That was really cool when it went dark.

My bad, I see it clearly through my B&L Binocs!
I paid $500 for these binocs 3 years ago, and I think this is the only thing I have seen through them!!!

BTW, about 20 minutes to a full eclipse from my vantage point. For once, a celestial event not obscured by clouds! Clear as a bell here!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong...but I don't believe it's been anywhere near 300 years since the last total lunar eclipse.

I believe there's another one due for 2014 as well.

Orion is high in the sky, the big cheese ball went totally black, and is beginning to return now. I'm thinkong about going to church this week.

Never went totally black here. Looks like a glowing chunk of charcoal getting ready to burn out.

Then again Orion is about 10 o'clock here and pretty low. The bottom of his legs are slipping just below the horizon...well, the tree line.

Alright, I can't watch anymore. It's about 23 degrees here with 25 MPH wind gusts. It's freaking cold to just be standing around staring at the sky!

Saw quite a few shooting stars though! Makes me wish I was camping farther north with a fire going, a pot on the coals and a hot cup of soup in my hands. I could stay up all night just watching the skies and imagining what's out there!
