I love the winter

24.5* F out at the moment... means all the neighbors are inside with their doors and windows closed. Music is cranked up and nobody knows the difference. Only downside is that if somebody is outside, there's that winter stillness that brings every little noise into focus. But that's only if they're braving the cold.

Pair winter with the fact that I'm single, and have plenty of cold beer in the fridge, and you've got the makings for a great night listening to the tunes I want to listen to.... none of this - http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=110340

I've had to snow blow the driveway twice a day for the last 4 days. Looks like the next week will be the same. 23f and falling, and it's barely the beginning of winter.

    I love the summer.

I do mind the cold and have no frickin' idea why I live in Chicago. I've worked outside in the winter for over 20 years but the older I get, the more it bothers me. As far as playing music at ear splitting levels, I could care less if it's winter or summer. I crank it anytime in any season, and naked on the deck too. That way nobody will wander over to tell me it's too loud.

    Yes. Yes. Yes!

Plus it keeps the idiots inside who in the summer feel they need to listen to music in their backyard. Which means everyone else has to listen to their music whether they want to or not.

    Why the hate? :(:p

It is now 22* F outside. But the music is off... as is the heat in the house! Thermostat programmed to drop to 55* inside at 11pm. 1.5 hours and it's dropped from 70* to 58*. I am in need of some insulation :(

Oh well, time to head to bed, anyway... nice and warm in the bedroom...

I like winter too for all the reasons you state. I just hate it when it gets warm enough for it to be messy like it is right now.
