My ex always hated my metal. Pantera, Hatebreed, etc.

I tried to respect her tastes and only listen to it when I was in the car alone, but there were some days that were so rough at work that they necessitated a little metal time when I'd get home.

I'm single now, but in a condo, so I can't turn it up to 11 anymore.

I was wondering why my ears stopped bleeding Jason!

Grow a sack. She doesn't like it, punch her in the back of the head.
Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

I've found that as I keep tweaking things and my system gets better and better, I'm listening to a much wider arrary of music. I used to listen to a steady diet of rock/hard rock/metal and have recently broadly expanded my horizons. My wife (and kids) are constantly commenting now. I just turn it up a notch and smile .

What I want to know is why she was talking in the first place? Did you give her permission?
With all bad jokes aside tell her you respect what she is saying but in order to do so you need a pair of 1000$ earphones and about another 1k in cables and other gear..... Her choice put up with it or buy you more gear.

BTW played some Air Supply and Bread on the Turntable last night. My wife gave up on my musical likes/dislikes.

and let's not forget the janice ian lp! although it doesn't peg the 'showtune-o-meter' like the 10cc record does, it still is very much out of character for my sda's to be singing:tongue:
