Wife makes me feel embarrassed for listening to music

My wife doesn't seem to mind anything I listen to. But she agrees with your wife about the crap you listen to.
That right there is funny! I don't care who said it! -
Unless you are listening to the best of Burl Ives or Mitch Miller or Lawrence Welk, I wouldn't worry about it!:rolleyes:
-
Let it go in one ear and out the other. My wife and I have pretty much the same musical tastes with exception of a few. Usually goes like this....
Wife- Do you mind if I play ****, I know you don't like it....
Me- So,play it
Wife- Just for a little bit,ok?
Me- You live here too don't ya ?
Wife- Well yeah, but....
Me- Play the damn thing already !
Wife- Sure you won't be mad....
Me- I'm gonna be pissed now if you don't play it.
Wife- Well, ok then, just for a few minutes
Me- Sighs, then go off to play on the computer
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Tony!!! Same conversations here on all different subjects!:biggrin:
Boy it's good to know I'm not alone in this! Hehehe! -
My ex always hated my metal. Pantera, Hatebreed, etc.
I tried to respect her tastes and only listen to it when I was in the car alone, but there were some days that were so rough at work that they necessitated a little metal time when I'd get home.
I'm single now, but in a condo, so I can't turn it up to 11 anymore.
I was wondering why my ears stopped bleeding Jason! -
Grow a sack. She doesn't like it, punch her in the back of the head.Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.

What took so long?
Yup. Give her a noogie every time she says it. She'll pipe down soon enough. -

Ask her why she's making observations about your music selection, and not in the kitchen making you a turkey pot pie.

1. You CAN put more than one thought into a single post, or
2. gather all of your thoughts, THEN post.

I've found that as I keep tweaking things and my system gets better and better, I'm listening to a much wider arrary of music. I used to listen to a steady diet of rock/hard rock/metal and have recently broadly expanded my horizons. My wife (and kids) are constantly commenting now. I just turn it up a notch and smile .VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

Nah, she knows my taste in music is superior to hers.
-
What I want to know is why she was talking in the first place? Did you give her permission?
With all bad jokes aside tell her you respect what she is saying but in order to do so you need a pair of 1000$ earphones and about another 1k in cables and other gear..... Her choice put up with it or buy you more gear. -

HA HA HA HA HA, I thought I was having a flashback to last night. Holy crap that sounds just like me and the misses.
BTW played some Air Supply and Bread on the Turntable last night. My wife gave up on my musical likes/dislikes. -

and let's not forget the janice ian lp! although it doesn't peg the 'showtune-o-meter' like the 10cc record does, it still is very much out of character for my sda's to be singing -
I listen to totally embarassing stuff sometimes, usually cranked. Eff em all. I will note that my neighbors avoid me.
Dude, that's not why your neighbors avoid you.
Whenever I get complained to about my music, I put the following recordings on shuffle:
