Howdy,
the other day I was in a thrift store and saw some off brand bookself speakers which I need for my garage and noticed they were 6 ohm. I will be using an older technics receiver. Also there were some 4 ohms as well.
Is this a big deal with small speakers in a garage setting?
Or would the be OK to use?

You could check the specifications of your technics receiver to verify

It would be typically rated to work with speakers designed from 4 to 8 ohm impedance
so a 4 or 6 ohm nominal rating would be fine.

I hope they were POLK Audio Speakers !

    Thanks,
yes after checking my receiver it is rated 4-8 ohm I guess I was unaware of 6 ohm speakers.
And no they were not POLKs, cheap looking sony I think.
I was looking for just something to get me by for a little while...
