Yep, that and "Presence" I use to have them but don't know where they went. Hell I've even got a "Jethro Tull: Aqualung" I've got the jacket and inner-sleeve bit no vinyl.:confused:

Ouch! Lots of great energy on that Lp, Robert was recovering from his car crash in Greece, he was all pent up, had to sit on a stool in the studio because of his legs being broken. There's a couple songs I don't care for and the sound quality is dissmal at best. Just my 2 pennies. Some of John Bonham's best bluesy/funky drum work on that Lp.

Thanks Jesse that's what I was wanting to hear.

I have a few of the SHM-SACD's now and I love them. They are pricey but they are the best IMO. They make it hard to not want more of them..

That's cool. No disrespect and don't get me wrong, I love Led Zep. Presence just isn't one of my favorites. Did anyone read the new book by Stephen Davis The Lost Chronicles of Led Zeppelin about the 1975 tour ? Just curious, its on my Amazon wish list.

On mine as well. Led Zep is my all time favorite band and I wouldn't own anything less than the entire collection. Oh yeah, and the 350+ bootlegs of LZ I have.

Very cool Larry. Does the box set have just the studio LPs or are live recordings like "The Song Remains the Same" on it also?

Kelvin you hit that nail right on the head.

Just an afterthought . . . you gotta hear the LZ studio recordings on Classic Records 200gm vinyl! You ain't heard Zep 'till you heard these. Jesse can vouch for that! I would imagine that if you could get it on SHM-SACD you'd be close!

The SHM-CD's are Fantastic!!! This collection was well worth the $102 I spent. Very nice package, all the different covers for In Through The Outdoor as well as the two different covers for the S/T album.

I haven't owned all these songs in twenty years or so..

Did I forget to say they sound great on the SDA's??? lol

I did as well many years ago as I lived and breathed LZ. but I just found that Love again, and having the system I have now to enjoy it on a WHOLE other level helps as well..

While hunting for some SHM-CD's tonight, I remembered this thread and wanted to clear up some apparent confusion involving the Led Zeppelin SHM-CD box set.

The link Bluefox provided, http://www.amazon.com/Definitive-Col...0925365&sr=1-2 are not SHM-CD's, nor is the set on Music Direct and I seriously doubt that the one Larry picked up is either.

Two complete box sets were released in 2008, one contained regular CD's and the other contained SHM-CD's. Both used the same masters. The original price of the CD set was $199.00. The original price of the SHM-CD set was $320.00 and was only available in Japan. The SHM-CD set is OOP and is hitting around $600.00, if you can find it.

A sure fire way to tell if you have the SHM-CD set. On the label side, around the center hole of each disc will be "SHM-CD" printed in white, 4 times.
