OK - didn't get much response for opinions on the Yamaha MX-1 vs Anthem MCA 20, so I'm fishing for thoughts on the Outlaw in pair to power my mains (RTi12s).

AVR is a Yamaha RX-Z7.

I started with the 2200's. Very nice amps, they run fairly cool to touch. And with 200 wpc they can run the RTi12s no problem.

Nice amp, I had one powering my center before I picked up a Rotel RMB-1095 multi-channel amp. It did a great job...nice compact size too so you can actually stack them without any issues. Give them a try, for the money I doubt you'll be dissapointed.

^^^^^ I think so too. Nicely price and solid performance. The only problem for me would be too many power cords, if you were to use more than two.

The Anthem is head and shoulders a nicer amp than either the Outlaw or Yamaha. Not even worth questioning. Outlaw is solid gear but not the last word in musicality. On par with Emotiva but nicer and less forward.

    Good luck

Are you going where I think you're going with this? As in ATi=Outlaw?

Anthem. The RTi12 is a surprisingly power hungry loudspeaker even at 90dB and 8ohm. The Outlaw will work fine but they open up much better with a 300wpc+ amplifier from my experience.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
