I would think that someone close and driving to PF could bring another TT. I'm not sure I would waste good gear on the drunks at a PF

Nothing wrong with a YP-211. Entry level belt drive, made by CEC, who were OEM of many, many Japanese turntables in the 1970s. Put a Denon DL-103 on it, add a decent step up transformer and phono preamp and you're cookin' with gas.

I don't think it's bad, but I know Ted / RT1 Rega could kill it, Troy VPI tt could kill it. It's like a Chevy to their's BMW's. I quess some one could bring one, but I know they don't like to move those expensive TT around much.

Now on this subject, TT's I get a Rega P5 I'm sure is fine, but then Arms, Cartridges, Needles just confuse me beyond anything I can afford. Used is the game here, just don't what to be taken.

The CJ has a phono input, but I think it will work with a MM. I have Cartridges amp which will do MM or MC but too me I sounds like crap, the CJ phono input sounds better.

Dude, don't buy a table just for PF....but a table because you want it.

That said, between RT1 and I, I could probably bring the VPI without too much trouble.

I would have my table by then. And would bring it, HOWEVER. seeing I'm not sure when this will be happening IE if the fest is Oct 1st there is no way in hell I can make it as I would have to be standing up in my friends wedding which I agreed to like 5 months ago.

And there is no way I'm driving to FL, done it before, will never do it again and I wouldn't trust an airline with a TT.

I've got one from Fisher-Price. It'll smoke any other table out there.

Man, I'd love to have one of those again. Had one of those and a stack of 45's from my aunt when I was about 8. Jamming out to Kiss, the Who, and the Chipmunks in my bedroom, those were the days....
