Apparently it takes rocket scientists to sign their name on a piece of paper and fill it out properly.....

So at first they didnt fill all of it out, then the did and signed it but forgot to make some changes they wanted, then they put the changes on wrong, then they added the wrong meds, and then they listed my activities as "none" (as in I cant do anything)....

If you see a crazy story on the news in Indy about a patient in a hospital going bonkers....you know what happened
I don't know about the US but in Canada PQ if they tell you you will be released early am, you may be lucky if you are actually released on that day

Just got home, took a nice long hot shower, shaved and took my dogs on a long long walk....

Now gonna sit in bed and catch up on my TV shows with my wife :).

Right, now time to relax for a bit  It's not doctor's or order but rather Canuck's order which is just as good :)

Trust me, I will be relaxing the rest of the night....I might even take another couple showers.

Just glad to be home. Now to get ready for work tomorrow.

Wife just called to let me know we got the hospital bill....Man oh man I am an expensive guy...

Total bill before insurance (not counting Doctors bills since those are seperate) 43,000 dollars....

I had 11k in just pharmacy costs for all the IV stuff they pumped into me.....

Good Lord I hope to never have to be back there again.....

Trust me, I want to. I had a follow-up visit with my Crohns doctor on the 8th. He let me know that a random GI Bleed happens in less than 1% of all Crohns patients (looks like I get to be the lucky minority ). If it happens again they are just going to open me up and take out the two parts that are causing issues (1 is 6cm long the other 10cm long) and call it a day. Don’t want to think about the cost and recovery time associated with that kind of ordeal…..

Told the wife we need to start playing the lottery since I seem to always be the 1 in a million on just about all my medical issues.....

Other than that we modified my medication to a weekly dose via injection rather than bi-weekly. I am also back on Iron pills to get my hemiglobin levels back up to normal (been at an anemic state for about a year +).

So hopefully 2011 will be a remission year as well as 2012 because I am hoping to be able to get life insurance on myself just in case. Currently no one will touch me until I am in remission for at least 2 years

:eek::eek: Thank God I live in Quebec, I guess I'd be in debts for the remainder of my life. I don't even want to think about the cost it could have been while I was at the hospital for 1 month, plus the 4 monhts on meds :eek::eek:

I'd say your only winning lotery ticket in your condition would be a ticket to Canada

I hope you are getting better and that your health is at least improving. I think you might deserve a break from this ordeal for a bit. Not enough to worry about your health, you get the financial burden to drag you down furthermore

    Get well soon!
