widescreen convergence

Decided to be brave today and do a convergence tune up on my Panny widescreen. Was always scared messing with stuff like that but turned out it was pretty easy and found it pretty out of wack. Then used the avia disk for video fine tuning. Picture is now much sharper..showing much more detail. Much more of a cinema look with DVD-V. For anyone who hasn't done a convergence tune up..even those sets that have auto-convergence with manual capabilities..I suggest doing so highly. What a difference. And don't forget the avia disk.

Hi, speaking of convergence are there any consumers out there who have had a home theater or audio system installed professionally? By that I mean had a company who specializes in designing and installing systems put in a home theater or distributed audio system? I"d love to know about your experience with this type of transaction.

I am a Home Theater,Multiroom audio,automation,Lighting control,DSS,Programer.
What would you like to know?
Personally I can't think of a better way to have it done.Dan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
I'm the product line manager for custom install products (among others) at Polk and am trying to assemble a small group of integrators who we can bounce ideas off of and aid us in making sure that the products are a genuine value to your customers.
1) How do you find out about your customers? referrals, relationship with a retailer, advertising?
2) How important is the brand name of the equipment that they are buying? Does it make a difference it they recognize the brand name or are they just interested in it working?
3) How important is the sound of the equipment? If you do a distributed audio system does it matter if you put in $100 speakers or $300 speakers that sound better?
4) Do you install any complete home theaters with inwall or in ceiling speakers? Are you finding that some of your customers prefer these to bookshelf or floor standing speakers?
Thanks a lot for the info
