Hey man, I didn't know that you jammed !! What cha got ??? I jamm too i started in 1973 with a set of ludwigs with zildian hardware...and played a bundy trumpet and in 1976 i picked up an Ephiphone acoustic guitar and tried to play and couldn't do ****--but--- after about 6 months it al startrd to make sense and i took off--classic rock and counrty all the way-i now have an ibanez acoustic dreadnought with pickups and 3 band eq in it ad a authentic 1974 classic Gibson ES 335 hollow body that has barely been used-(now worth 3,500)and a 1974 genuine stratocaster and an authentic 1974 100 watt fender twin (2 twelves) tube amp and an old 100 watt sears 12" twin tube and a lil" crate 25 watt amp. but my allaround favoriate lil' haul with me wherever i go thrash around guitar is a litte 3/4 size Yamaha acoustic (we go everywhere together)-i am just now starting to play keyboards..Talk to me !!! we have some cool stuff in common..

Hey Gary,
I started playing guitar in 1979.I was 9.My first guitar was a 1970 Fender Stratocaster and a Fender amp.Then I got my first Twin Reverb, a 1976 model...killer amp man.I then bought a Gibson Melody Maker in Sunburst.Light and nice sounding guitar.Marshall jcm900 head and 4 x 12 cabnet was next for some serious crunch.I also got a GIBSON Les Paul Deluxe in sunburst.

I had a Sun head,sound city,Peavey but I went back to the Fender Twin every time.It was the sound of sounds........I also for awhile tried out using a Fender Bassman 10 amp to get some better bottom end.........it worked and I enjoyed playing with it.

I had alot of guitars over the years......My personal favorite was a Charvel Model #3 in 1988.I played alot of Heavy Metal then and it fit the bill perfect......crunchy guitar with killer power.

I played my first gig in my uncles band in 1982 in Trenton NJ.I was 12 years old in a punk band as there guitar player quit a week before there gig.My uncle was so inpressed with my playing ,asked my mom if I could play with them to fill in there gig ...My dad said yes and my mom said NO WAY........but over time We got over that and she came to see me play.........what an experience I'll never forget,we opened up for a very popular then band The English Dogs from England.Punk man Punk.....
I played Marshal and Les Paul with all Boss pedals then.......

I gave it up for awhile,no time to play and I lost intrest.Today I plan on a new Martin.I love the way they sound as I have played a few lately.I will play again.

I also can play Piano,Drum,Bass.......

Yeah those old fender twins was ans are really something special--i can remember back in 1980 playngthat song "MONGOLOID" by DEVO..ha,ha.and dance this mess around by the b-52's--(why don't chu dance with me? I'm not no limburger ) ha,ha.. back then i had a band called::
"GARY AND THE MUFF LAPPS"..
I quit for about 10 years also but i do pick up a guitar on a monthly basis now
i am much better at flat and finger pickin' on an acoustic than at blistering electric runs..
