Since I decided to make a few crossover plates I thought I would get a set done in Gold with Black Ink and One in Red with Gold Ink.

The pictures for the Red are hard to take a pic of and see the true color They look great in the pic they look to Red they are a dark Red, and I really like the Gold as well.

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

looks great Larry! Now you need to make some for the 2.3tl, lol. How about high polish stainless with the letters laser etched in?

I have thought about it!! Trust me.. LOL

I have thought about getting some 1" thick aluminum for the top and bottom caps and some 3/8 thick aluminum flat bar for the sides and having them hard red or black anodized then getting them clear coated.

I also have thought about aluminum rings hard anodized for the outside of the drivers and passives.. LOL

    Great work Larry!

The 2.3's don't have the crossover plate, I believe they are also speaking about replacing the wood with aluminum pieces.

Last year I ordered a set of crossover plates from Larry, then I bought a pair of 1.2 Tl's to go with the plates. Larry does fine work.

My crossover plates are actually in really good condition. Not to mention, before I work on cosmetics I should probably spend money on new RDO tweeters, crossover upgrades, rings, etc... Man this hobby is expensive  /addictive! :D

Saw these first hand the other night and like larry said the pictures don't do them justice. I think before you know it larry will remake an entire cabinet out of various metals... May I suggest a carbon fibre enclosure?

Oooh, good idea. Carbon fibre would help cut down on the weight and would almost make them movable by a single person...

Scratch that, still too huge. Even if they were lighter, you'd still need to be Andre the Giant to wrap your arms around them and carry them up/down stairs by yourself. :p

I'm looking forward to seeing the plates firsthand and hearing Larry's speakers!

    Larry,

Can you anodize a faceplate in Gold for me? Sorry for thread jacking!
