Using google's search on polk's site I came up with the following. There is probably more discussions. These links probably offer a good place to start.

Higher sensitivity and also most high quality drivers are 4ohms.

Agreed....the OP should look at the LSI line as the corvette of Polk's line up. You can get a 4 cyl. engine in a chevy, but not a corvette, nor would you want to.
    HT SYSTEM-
    Sony 850c 4k
    Pioneer elite vhx 21
    Sony 4k BRP
    SVS SB-2000
    Polk Sig. 20's
    Polk FX500 surrounds

    Cables-
    Acoustic zen Satori speaker cables
    Acoustic zen Matrix 2 IC's
    Wireworld eclipse 7 ic's
    Audio metallurgy ga-o digital cable

    Kitchen

    Sonos zp90
    Grant Fidelity tube dac
    B&k 1420
    lsi 9's

Of course when you modify something it can beat something at a higher price point.

To stay on topic, there are 6 and 8ohm tweeters that are on par with the Vifa ring radiator, but most are a little to a lot more expensive.
