Why is the LSi line

only in 4ohms? Is there a benefit from not being 8ohms?

    Higher sensitivity and also most high quality drivers are 4ohms.

    Agreed....the OP should look at the LSI line as the corvette of Polk's line up. You can get a 4 cyl. engine in a chevy, but not a corvette, nor would you want to.

    At the track I've seen some 4 cyl. engines put a beating on the corvettes.:D

    LSi lineup looks really nice, have yet to hear them in person yet tho

    Of course when you modify something it can beat something at a higher price point.

    To stay on topic, there are 6 and 8ohm tweeters that are on par with the Vifa ring radiator, but most are a little to a lot more expensive.
