The Town was pretty enjoyable; while it was certainly no "Goodfellas", there was one thing that stood out for me:
Actor Jeremy Renner playing the part of James Coughlin.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0840361/
As bobman mentioned, Blake Lively played an excellent part.
Jeremy Renner knocked his performance out of the ballpark, IMO, with a total non-performance. Totally believable as one tough little SOB loose cannon.
I think Ben Affleck is a pretty decent actor. But in scenes with Affleck and Renner, you can see Affleck "acting" and Renner "being".
The character James Coughlin is worth the price of at least a rental of The Town, IMO.
And was it just me, or did the Claire character look kind of anorexic ?Sal Palooza -
Wife and I watched it last night. while it was an OK movie, I found it to be predictable and slow. I guess with all of the hype I may have gone into it expecting too much, but it didn't blow me away.Shawn
