Speaker volume level

My rears in my HT system are playing at very different volume levels. I switched output connections and it is the speaker. I have to spike one up about 2.5db to get it to be as loud as the other rear...they are same disatnce from sitting area and in same place relative to wall, etc.

I am guessing that one of the two mids (10B's) is out on the quiet speaker....will I need to pull them to determine this or is there a less invasive way? Thanks...

    Hey Mike, are you getting any sound out of the tweeter? If it is blown, there will be lower output.

    It can be difficult to tell which MW is out with them both in the cabinet, they will both "move" so taking each one out and checking it may be the only way to be sure.

    thanks...sure thought I had sound from tweet...but I will check....I was certain I had full sound from both....but I had checked them out side by side and not individually....

    anyone know what mid these use now? Series II 10B?

    Did you put your ear to each driver of the lower volume speaker to see if one sounded off?

    thinking back...I am sure the speaker was playing equally loud...after hooking up to a new system, I did accidentally blast some sound through....if I did something to the tweet, will it reset itself...or would the tweet just need to be replaced.


    I will listen cloiser to the mids...unfortuantely, I am at a hospital in St. Louis with wife's mom....no fun at all....did pick up a 7- pair of short grill 5B's....drivers look great...

    Anyone know off top of head if 10Bs use same mid as 5B's?
