polk momo 6.5 component spkr SEIZED

I have a set of polk momo 6.5 component speakers with seperate tweeters and polk momo crossovers, this is all from the SILVER EDITION .

When installing the speaker today i could not get any sound out of it, then i noticed that the woofer cone was rock solid and nothing in the woofer would move.

Anybody have any idea what has happened here and if this speaker can be repaired ? :mad:

    Had a set that I installed and the car sat for about 5 months Went out to take the car out and sure enough mine were rock solid from moisture getting into the woofer. I have seen it before and just changed them with something else.

    Also a lot of wattage like 500 or so for 40 seconds would do that as well.

    thanks big audio. I bought them as a used complete set off ebay about 5 weeks ago. Now to see what seller will do. Luckily there is more on ebay brand new. Will also have to see if it can be loosened up and repaired ??? Hate to throw away quality item.
