I'm in. I own two pairs of SMGa's that I am thinking of modifying.

This, I believe is the Peter Gunn xover recommendation?

    Sonicraft offered the following quote:

    2 x 24uF of Sonicap
    Gen 1 with a 2.2uF Mundorf Silver/Oil Supreme.

    -Sonicap G1 24uF ($33.10 each) x4....$132.40
    -S/O 2.2uF ($58.93 each) x2....$117.86
    -AC 12ga/0.82mH (de-wound to 0.78mH) x2....$95.64

Your total less shipping would be $345.90

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks, Jesse!
As for the SMG mod, I can't answer that one but you could try over at audiocircle.
I'm sure that someone there has done it.
That's the great thing about these forums, there's always tons of people who know more than I do (which isn't saying much), ha, ha.
The bad part about forums is that they make you late for work so I'd better get moving or else it'll be the dreaded Fact Finding in the dungeon.

If you want to do the Peter Gunn mod (HIGHLY recommended), just email him and he will provide you the xover details. He was great help when I did mine.

And make sure you do replace the MDF with wood, not just upgrade the xover. It doesn't need to look pretty/perfect. The change is breathtaking.
