Ahhh...dang. Who do I send the bribes to now? Patrick just responds with "You're banned. Where's my hammer?"

Not if you're discrete about it, here's Russ securing himself for another year. :D

That's probably a relief for Mark and Russman! I first met Doro as the Polk Rep on the old Circuit City forums--now defunct--and he IS the reason that I'm 'here' now along with the fact that I just seemed to like Polk product better than everything else CC sold in speakers!

    Face....nice catch!

    Mark/Russ,

Thanks for all the work you did as moderators and for Polk Audio. The Forum and Polk Audio are better because of your help. Welcome back as Forum members!

    Mark (Doro) and Russ (Russman),

It's nice to have you both as polkies. But I like you guys better when you wield the swords to fend off the trolls.

Now, with Ken alone wearing a knight armor, I can sense more trolls in the future.

I hated moderating and contrary to what you guys think, it isn't even what my job is for Polk but oh well....it's over now. Whew. Thanks for the kind words F1Nut, Conradicles, Polkatese and WZ, its been real and I'm looking forward to being regular again.

Ken Swauger is the most balanced guy I've met in my travels but be careful folks, even core members as he's not as.....well, let's just say everyone should continue to help in keeping our forum active, friendly and the wealth of information that it is. He will do a wonderful job moderating.
If moderation was a burden then good on you for stepping away from it. Let me thank you and Russ for making CP a MUCH better place to hang around.

I also do have most respect for Ken but my understanding is that he will now be the only moderator at CP. I honestly hope CP will keep the standards that came with moderations. I would hope the task is not too tedious for a single moderator and that we do not drive him crazy by going back to old ways.

Again, Mark and Russ thank you for making CP a better place!!!

Several years ago, I decided that Polk needed better visibility and some representation of our interests on the other audio bulletin boards and several retail sites. Short of staff to do it from the inside, I approached Mark and Russ about handling this for me on a limited part-time basis. All on the up and up, you've surely seen them elsewhere and they identify themselves as Polk representatives.

I asked them as a favor to help moderate CP when it stated snowballing out of control. Knock on wood, CP seems to have stabilized in no small part because many of you stepped up to help lower the temperature and call out or ignore the trolls. For that, I thank you all. And again, I sincerely thank Mark and Russ for their help in pulling in the reins.

What is your big plan to still keep CP a better place? As I pointed out, the task maybe more of a challenge with only one moderator? Any comments?
    Dear Mark and Russ,

Thanks for everything you've done in the past, but I will now be placing both of you on my Bozo List cause there's no reason to suck up to you guys anymore. At least none that I'm aware of.

Very funny :D On the other hand I will not feel lonely anymore :p

My big plan is to keep an close eye on it. If its history is a barometer, then there will be other flare ups and we'll have to deal with them as they come.

To me, it seems that the CP has always been the most dynamic and interesting when it is governed least. With you and all the others that enjoy CP exercising some common courtesy and educating those unfamiliar with the term, we should be able to keep chugging merrily along.

Late to this one, but it's going to be good to have you guys back in the fold. I try not to wax poetic about the "olden days" and whatnot, but this place definitely had a different climate when both of you were posting with reckless abandon.

And so. Yeah. Projectile vomit and assless chaps.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

It had to have been a thankless job, so I'm not going to thank them ..... even though they did a great job working with the people they had to work with.

But now that they don't have anything to do, it would be a great idea for a Kharma of their time. Nothing big, of course, maybe just like 40 hours a piece. That would keep them safely off the streets and keep them as contributing members of society. Not to mention that I have a lot of yard work to be done before winter sets in.

    Great job Russman and Doro.
