pioneer elite sc receiver

Well I am going to be buying a new receiver within the next 2 weeks and I'm pretty sure its gona be a pioneer elite sc25 for $899 brand new

I was wondering if you guys are going to be flogging yours anytime soon so feel free to shoot me an offer via pm if thats the case

Or if you happen to know where I could find a good deal please let me know

    They have a demo model for $839. Not sure if you're into demo units, but saves you $60 and gives you the same warranty and everything. Click on the clearance tab on that page.

    ahhh ....Just read that listing and your right

    It comes with a full warranty and all the bits and bobs that come with it

    Shippings only $20 and they are an aurthorised seller .I dont care about buying demo stuff and have had good experiances in the past buying demo speakers

    Just found an sc25 for $799 new on ebay by the seller shadowdragon77 ..only 4 left though

    unitedonlineshopping has the sc05 for $659 refurb

    I'd rather pay the extra $100 and get the 2 year warranty.

    SC-25 is a nice AVR. i have the SC-07. wish i would have paid the lil extra coin and gotten the SC-27

    FYI - I saw a demo SC-27 at the local BB today for $1199.

    Who can tell me what "ICE" (amp) means. Is it an acronym or abbreviation or other??? And for all you smart as# out there, don't tell me it's frozen water...... Thanks

    It's a class d type of amplification. It runs really cool, hence the name. Was invented by bang & oly.

    I have heard good things,and have also auditioned the sc-27 against the new denon avr-3311ci with a set of RTI A7 speakers and the denon blew the pioneer away in every way and is actually cheaper at DAKMART.com for $789, which is a authorized dealer so that means full 3 year warranty

    I read on the pioneer thread on avs that the pioneer whooped the denon and the denon way brighter than the pioneer

    Hey mole pm me with a price on that 07. I dont know why you would want a sc25 over a sc07 as they are the same sounding

    i had the Denon 2311ci before my current sc-07. at first i did not see much of a different, but i see/hear it now. the only thing the Denon has over the Elite is the on screen setup IMO.

    i know the 2311 and the 3311 are different tho.

    even my older Pioneer elite VSX 84TXSi sounds better than the 2311ci.

    i dont know whats its worth. almost 3 months old. non smoking house, no pets and my kids DONT DARE TOUCH MY RIG!

    One of the main problems i have noticed on avs forums is people judge a unit on how much bass it puts out IMO.I personally perfer clairity(brighter) than melow bass.I mean thats what a good subwoofer is for.Usually a reciever is not considered bright,but the speakers are.This is usually because a reciever can be adjusted to the owners preference.The main reason i believe the denon is clearer is because it runs 2 DAC's per channel instead of one.Then again everyone hears different and has different preferences.To each his own:)
