ONKYO TX-SR506 with RTI A7
Hello, appreciate your professional advice.
I'm looking into buying a pair of RTIA7 as fronts to my ONKYO TX-SR506.
Will this combination sound good? Will my receiver be able to push these speakers to their best sound without distortions?
Thank you very much
Yaniv

This is just my personal opinion but i'd upgrade your receiver first, you won't be hearing them anywhere close to their full potential. However, my first receiver was a tx-sr504 and I had it hooked up to my RT800's and it was ok at normal volume tv watching, but would definitely struggle if I cranked them up and I would get some distortion.

Yup. And if the receiver is driving all the speakers at the same time, the A7s won't even get the 75 watts advertised.
Otherwise, the RTi A7s should be timbre matched to your other speakers - so good choice thereALL BOXED UP for a while until I save up for a new place

I see,
Then what's your opinion about the RTIA5? are they a better match to my AVR ?AV: ONKYO TX-SR506

Honestly you should invest in a better receiver even for the rtia5's. I have the rti8's with a 130wpc yamaha and it's still not enough to hear them to their full potential. -
You might want to also consider the Rtia5's with a sub over the a7's.
I think you will also want a avr with pre outs and/or more power. That 506 is not match for ANY of the Rti series in part because of the lack of power imo.
