The color on the wall in the last picture is probably what I am going to paint the room in two weeks.

I'd suggest your front stage reflections primarily since it has the most impact and be very simple in the rear treatment. I've found that a four panel treatment really changes the stage. I'm sure it can be tweaked to death and super overdone but for the working man, 4 panels work perfectly.

When it comes to rear, just throw some panels up in relation to your actual loudspeakers. It's easy, just eyeball it.

Would you recommend just building them with some cloth wrapped over them or buy them? If buying where can the be purchased?

I'd suggest building your own from a cost effective point but the prices have come way down for generic panels from many sources, if you don't want to do so, which is my option, outsource. I have enough other house BS to deal with let alone audio.

Remember that this is a re-useable product so your next room will benefit...or your next home will benefit...blah blah. It's an investment that will carry in other words. Your needs will change, your loudspeakers will change and the first reflections will change...ugh what a horrible hobby we love.

I know there was a post in DIY a while ago but I can't find it. Nice room.

The new color will be easier on the eyes and help those ML's pop.

My vote is for the gray :). Jealous of your speakers. Wife and I listened to those at Best Buy and she was like "WTF!?!?! These are friggin SWEET!!!" So she was like let me check the price....and then it went like this... "(Insert Chuckles here) Maybe when we hit the lottery) :)

Yellow is rough dude. More of a kitchen or dining room color.

How about a more modern color like a deep Orange or Terracotta or the color you have a sample of.

Burnt Orange or a deep red would also work....

Regardless I think some organizing is in order. Also consider the B-Tech 77 for your rears. You can find them cheap.

Have you considered re-arranging the furniture so that you can sit further back? Also give the ML's some room, they need to breathe.

Already did two days ago, I am as far back as I can go without going crazy trying to get to my bed.

ML's are already 3ft from the back and three feet from the center of the tv. If I go any further on the right one it will be in the wall on the side and the left will be in open space behind it.
