Among this years nominees: Bon Jovi and the Beastie Boys. Once again, Rush is denied. The hall becomes more and more irrelevant every year. Total and complete ****.

Bon Jovi and the Beastie Boys are a lock. I'd like to see Chic get in though.

Where's Chicago (the band), Moody Blues, and Heart?

+1 Tony Thompson deserves some props (along with Nile Rogers and Bernard Thompson). Those dudes were/are powerhouses.

We get this thread every year and it gets more relevant each year. I think they are purposely snubbing Kiss (10 gold & 10 platinum) and Rush (24 gold & 14 platinum) just to stay in the press.

I hadn't thought of it that way, but you're probably right. They are letting in a bunch of rappers though. I didn't think that was Rock and Roll.

    Don't worry, it's NOT!;)

If Rush ever does get in, I hope they pull a no-show.

And Cream. Both the Bee Gees and Cream are in the R&R Hall of Fame though.

Looks like Neil Diamond, Alice Cooper (band), Darlene Love, Dr. John, and Tom Waits have been voted into the Hall.

Why do people get so bent out of shape about the RRHOF? It means absolutely nothing. All "best of" , "hall of fame" , "award show" or whatever else some marketing genius comes up with are all the same pile of crap(and a way for someone to make a lot of money!!).Just my opinion, nothing more.By all means, feel free to disagree.
If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

And Neil Diamond??? I know the man, and the last thing he would ever see himself as is a rocker. I have always enjoyed Neil and think he is hugely talented, but this one is hgard for me to swallow. I bet he is saying to himself "how the hell did that happen?"

For Kiss and Rush to NOT get in and an old school crooner like Neil to make it shows there is something very wrong at the R&RHOF.

Um...The Jimi Hendrix Experience? Cream? They weren't late to the party either. They pioneered the party.

Blue Cheer trumps those guys in sheer originality for gods sake.
