New all-time record: 113 degrees in Downtown Los Angeles today. Previous record was 112 but that was in JUNE of 1990. :(

It has been in the 90s all day here today. I don't even want to turn on my TV so I am laid back on my bed catching up on shows on my iPad to try to stay cool.

Record rain here in Wilmington NC probably.

Started raining last night and in 24hrs. I've measured just shy of 9 inches of rain. That's hurricane numbers. The city is flooded and some people are still driving like idiots.

Sorry for your record heat wave. Winter is just around the corner. Hang in there.;)

    PerfectC,

You should come down to AZ for the winter. It's mid 70s for the majority of the winter months. It makes up for the 25 years of Seattle grayness I've experienced.

    I don't even care if it's 117 degrees...at least it ain't gray.

Is the humidity up in LA? Or is it just dry hot? Other then this time , I love the weather out there.

Yeah, I went to florida a few winters back. It was gorgeous. around 70-80 for the whole two weeks full sun, no snow.
Plus, no cars there ever get rust unless they sit in a swamp for a few years.

No humidity. Just blast-furnace heat. Very strange for So Cal at this time of year. We get maybe two weeks of humidity a year, and mild at that.

I've lived all over this GREAT country of ours and the weather here is by far the best. (Carlsbad, CA is actually the best, lived there for 9 years, avg. temp is 70 degrees year round). I miss Carlsbad....

Yeah, it's usually raining non-stop in the valley here at this time of the year...

But somehow we get 7 days of 80+ degree weather. FARK YOU GLOBAL WARMING!
