Two Runs of Monster Powerline 2 "Time Coherent" Precision speaker cable.

This speaker wire was considered the bees
knees back when they originally came out and were considered the high end.
They were $11 per foot when new.
I have two 28' runs. Both have soldered on nanners on one end. If you
don't want the nanners I can remove them.
They are in excellent condition although due to their age I'm going to rate
them at 7/10. They've been cleaned thoroughly with Soft Scrub by my wife
and I and look relatively new. There is however three dark spots one run
which has no effect on the performance of the cable.
I used this cable for many years and put them head to head against many many
speaker cables low, medium and high end and they never left my rig. It
wasn't until I put them up against MIT speaker cables that I replaced them.
These cable were also used for bi-amping duty on my rig when I had Adcom 565
mono blocks on the lows and a Parasound HCA 1000A on the highs of my SDA SRS
1.2TLs. When I upgraded to the Musical Fidelity Tri-vista they were jaw
dropping however when I placed a set of MIT MH 750 Shotgun Biwire cables I
relegated them to HT duty. I have all five speakers in my 5.1 HT rig wired
with these babies and they perform exceptionally.
I sold a set to Sal (Lasareath) a few years back and he used them in his 2
ch rig until MIT Shotgun S1's replaced them. He now, I believe, is using
them for HT duty. PM Sal for his impressions of them.
I'm selling both runs for $200 (that comes to under $4 per foot) plus
shipping which I haven't checked out yet. These are very thick and
heavy cables and look like tan garden hoses and are not in the least stiff.
The conductors are about 13 gauge and are braided and twisted. Very heavy
insulators and fit every nanner, spade or binding post hole I've
encountered.
Right now my camera is down so I can't post pictures but will as soon as I
get it up and working.
Anyone who's purchased from me knows I don't sell garbage. These are
perfect speaker cables for those who want to upgrade to high end sounding
cables and you will probably keep them for a long, long time or at least
until MIT speaker cables can be purchased!:D
I accept Postal MOs or a check, no paypal. If they don't perform as I've
stated I will take them back a give a full refund. They will sound
excellent right out of the box as they've been well burned in.
If I know you, I will ship immediately, if I don't, the check has to clear
first.
PM me for more details or questions.
Thanks for checking these excellent speaker cables out.
I found a picture of the cables online. It will give you an idea of what
these cables look like. The ones in the picture are a terminated short run.
The ones I am offering are much longer and not terminated except as stated
above.

Sorry Joe but you are incorrect!
I am still using them to this day in my 2 channel rig. I actually loved them so much that I bought more from other people so that i can use them on my other systems. I am planning to use some in my car as well.
What's wrong with paypal?, If you have them send you the payment using the "personal" option then you do not get charged a fee. If they send $200, you will get $200. The only stimpulation is that there is no paypal protection with the personal option. Which I like very much because they cannot take back the money ever! Paypal assumes that you are sending the money to a friend or family member that you trust and so the transaction is free.
Then I take my funds from paypal and transfer them to my checking account, it takes 2 to 3 business days and that transaction is also free. I also have a PayPal debit card which I can use anyplace and it is free as well.
Oh, and back to the cables; I also put them up against MIT cables and I liked the Monster cables better. Not shotgun, those cheap MIT cables, the ones that cost $128 per pair. These still sounded better. So I kept these and sold the MIT's for $100 per pair. My loss but at least I knew the truth.
Sal
Wow Sal I had no idea you kept them. I thought you replaceed them with MIT Shotgun S1 speaker cable!?! I must have got that mixed up with the ICs.
They are incredible aren't they? Why don't you buy them?
As far as paypal goes . . . not going to happen, I'll send you a PM> -
Best of luck with the sale Joe! Great seller!

I had a pair of those. They were high end cables in their day. Come to think of it, they were the only high end cables in their day.Political Correctness'.........defined

I believe the EXP-1. I bought one pair and I guess baf bought the other. Makes me want to put them up for sale and snag these, but I don't need such a long run and frankly I don't have room behind my cabinet to hide the extra 20-25' of cable.

Paul you would have enough there to make two 8' foot runs for your two channel rig with plenty left over for your HT rig. -

he bought my EXP 3's from MIT that I had bought but I couldn't use with the amps that I had at the time as the + and - were on different sides of the amp and I wasn't about to split the cable.

Apparently Sal likes them much better than the EXPs. -
Will split the two and sell single runs.

I have a pair of Monster Powerline 2 Plus's (15 feet each) that I bought in 1989 or 1990 to go with my Vandersteen 2 Ci's. Still using them today...on my LSi 15's. Glad to finally read another's opinion of their performance. I was thinking of replacing them with Belden 5000 10 gage, but I doubt it would be an improvement. He is. I'm friends with him on FB. Although most of his feed is political so I don't see most of what he posts. He just posted some cool audio Bonham/Zep stuff for Mike (in Hawaii) and I and a few others from here."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway?
