Can someone please help me! I'm only an intermediate audiophile but definatley been bit by the home theatre bug!! My new subwoofer is making a creaking sound when the bass is hitting hard like explosion scenes and rigorous rumbling scenes. It kind of sounds like the sub cabinet is creaking or something is moving in there. I am using a Pioneer elite vsx-32 (110w/ch). I returned my polk 110 (200w) for this klipsch sw450 for the 450w vs. the polks 200w but the polk never made these sounds even when pushed hard. Is it possible to send it too much power or too high db setting on the speaker setup or from the receivers speaker setup. Any advice is welcome, Thank you.

It's doubtful that you're sending too much to the sub. In all likelyhood, you've got a problem with the sub. Hard to tell from your description what the issue is but it's possible that the driver just can't handle what you're asking it to do. I had a Polk PSW300 that just couldn't hit hard at higher volume levels without the driver bottoming out. You probably need a higher end sub to satisfy your need for bass.____________________________________________________________

I knew right away from what book this was from. As long as things are written different there aren't any copyrighting problems. As for how you could make this work; you could try having her frozen. she was lost in the arctic or Alaska, and was found by scientist years later and preserved in a lab, and brought back.
That's great advise idiot. I think you meant to say if your frozen bread wants to marry your cheese, you need to have the lettuce intervene. Then the speakers sound great, because your an idiot. Don't forget to spread mustard on your face."They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Dpowell,
thank you for the advice. I have been allocating all of my free time to resolving this issue and may have found something. I am of the thinking that the back right foot (plastic) seems to be the culprit, its creaking against the bax when it vibrates too hard. Any suggestions on how to fix it, i've tightened it and everything but no change. I put styrofoam tubes under the sub (away from the actual woofer) about the same height as the feet and the noise went away completely!! Any suggestions would be helpful.Bonus Room:
