polk PA 880 Amp Not Turning On ?

Intalled this amp In a 1999 FORD F-150 with the factory radio also Installed 4 new polk speakers ,My problems sounds great but when I go to turn off my truck and start back the amp does not come back on It lights up ? I am not using the rca cables because of factory radio but when I go and unplug the wire harnes off the amp and plug It back In radio works (jolt,surge,?)triggers amp on..maybe that the factory radio does not have enough power to the amp to turn It on ? ground Is good all brand new wire harness ,
I am thinking Its the radio(factory) going to try a voltage reducer I think Its called
Any advise

    well Best Buy Is Installing the amp and speakers eveything was done and working fine untill he turned off my truck and tried to turn on the radio yhe amp lights up but won't kick on he thinks It Is my factory radio not putting out enough power to turn the amp on, he Is going to try a line reducer or converter? to see If It will work.he told me If I replaced the factory radio with a new radio with rca jacks It should work just fine , but I want to keep my stock radio..

    Well changed amp to a PA660-4 Took 12 hrs to hook It up to my factory radio works and sounds great..
    problems with power out of factory was not enough to kick on the amp,
    had to use a reducer with rca hook up
