mm6501+foam baffle enclosure = ?

I have a set of mm6501 components that I am going to be using only above 100hz or so, as I already have a dedicated subwoofer in my car. I've heard a lot of terrible things about these speakers baffles, and have actually tried em once before without any success. However, with that being said, I was wondering what the outcome would be if I made the foam enclosure solid, and slightly larger, by doing some fiberglassing on the outside of the foam( and stretching it out a bit). I'm sure that most of the negative results are from the foam flexing and changing shapes. What im thinking is that making it solid should create a nice enclosure to help out the mids and mid bass, much like a sealed enclosure would do with a sub. If any one has any insight on this, let me know before I waste 15 bucks just to practice my fiberglass skills.
I searched the forum, and although it was kind of mentioned in another post, there was never an answer for it, or anything really similar to it. Thanks in advance guys.

I was referring to one of these:
and laying down fiberglass over the back of it(the part inside the door) to essentially create a small, sealed enclosure for the speaker. sorry if that wasnt worded clearly, I was in a rush to finish up before I had to leave for class.
I tried it once before, but I had issues with the back flexing...I was theorizing that making the enclosure much more rigid would create a much better sound, similar to what i get out my home theater satellites. I would make them a little bit bigger than what they come once i lay them in and door and see where I have room in the door panels...
