Hello everyone im new to the polk forum, i have heard if you have a polk question or problem this is the place to get the answer you need. What i have is a pair of SDA-1C. This is the issue the tweeters are shutting off, ok this is what i think might be happening is the polyswitch (i believe is what you call it) is opening and they are shutting off. That what ive found from a little bit of research. If anyone could help me with a little more detail it would be greatly appreciated .

thank you for all of your help. Mitchell Valentine

Pull your crossovers out and bypass them. Take a couple pics of them so we can help you identify the poly switches.

It's never a good idea to suggest removing the polys without knowing what the person is driving the speakers with and how loud they turn it up.

    So Mitchell, what say you?

The little blue thing by the word input is the Poly switch. Bypass it and if you hear any distortion while cranking it turn it down.

If you are confident in your soldering skills mod them. If you are not confident with your skills you can send them to me. I do many XO's for Polkies.
