having Matt Polk's home number in your phone. And did I mention a historical Polk book is underway? Quad...McIntosh? Pffftt make way for Polk Audio folks. If this isn't a future coffee table book, I'm not sure what is.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

When Matt Polk tells me the new LSiM speakers are not better than my current LSi series. It sure will save me a lot of $.

I would purchase a Polk audio book, whether it doubled as a coffee table or not. :-) That's pretty cool.

dorokusai didn't mention the Paul Wilbur Klipsch bio - Col. Klipsch was a pretty interesting character who made some OK loudspeakers.

The book will probably be two volumes. One for each side of the coffee table. Kinda like a Stereo Reading System

    You're right, another great book.

If the Quad, McIntosh, Leak and Klipsch books aren't in your audio library, you need to get started nerds.

I should get the Quad book (The Closest Approach is the title, if I recall correctly), as a card-carrying ESL-57 owner, I guess. Unless, of course, you're talking about some tome about 4-channel 8-track decks?

+1 and perhaps even include some Stereograms in them

Mark, when you say 'underway', any ETA, or is it just too early to say? Any possibility this might be ready for release with the LSiM's?

No ETA and no F'n way. This project just started and will take a year or so to go hardcover.

I have Mr. Polk's business card, with his handwritten phone number, and address but it was from many years ago...does that count? His title was Vice President, Engineering.

and I also have Ben Newhall's business card and he was Northeastern Regional Sales Manager

could probably dig up some more maybe.........
