Thinking about replacing a/v cables, component, optical & s-video cables. Using AR pro series & pro II series, thinking of an upgrade to AR master series. Will I see & hear the difference & will it be worth the cost of the upgrade. Also advise on where to get good deals on these cables. Thanks for any input given.

I use AR pro series and pro 2, I like them, anytime you move up in a companies wire line it usually gets better, But first off i think AR has gone belly up so the support and warranty might not be there.. alot of people here prefer Monster cable.. a bit more $$ then AR but they seem to like it, One question??? Is their something lacking that you can actually see or hear to make you want to change and spend more money? I think good cables is a good idea and it must improve something, but it comes to a point, where is it really changing much and is it worth it to you. If you need "More" and more exspensive cable will do it for you, then go try stuff out, Me personally until i notice something doesnt look or sound right, i'm not upgrading because "everyone else" uses Monster cable or what ever brand, Good luck, their is also alot better/more $$$ Cables then Monster, I have no clue about them though, someone will chime in though

I would suggest that you make sure that the cables you purchase can be returned for a full refund if they do not meet your expectations. It would be very frustrating for you to spend a bunch of money and expect a huge difference and then not get the desired results and be left with a bag full of cables and an empty wallet!

Cables/wires are a "Hot Button" for alot of people. Do your home work before you buy any. Try doing a search for WIRE or INTERCONNECTS on this and other forums before you make your purchases.

as noted above going to the next level in a series should yield better performance. Here's what I would consider before you buy new wires.

    1) What sounds like it needs to be improved?

2)Is the gear you own now going to have a long shelf life?

3)How much better can my budget allow?

There is so much wire out there waiting to be discovered.Limiting yourself to one brand....well in my opnion sucks.I perfer to try all differnt brands to see what they do better or worse then what I currently use.

Also different wire comapanies have different sonic signatures.....you have to figure out which one sound best in your given system.Reaching for the next level is fun, cool and benifical.

Try other brands of higher quality.AR makes very nice afordable entry level cables.....but it stops right there.Monster exceeds AR when you go higher end......just a thought.
