I recently built stands for my Monitor 10's that can now be seen in this excellent thread started by dorokusai:

    http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24335

I had just enough plywood in the shed to build two pairs and I've seen a lot of folk comment on how they wish they could find some original stands so....

Up for Karma is the other set of stands which are unfinished. Just bare birch. You can paint, stain, or cover in duct tape to fit your room's style. Or perhaps if the winner sweet talks me I can do a bit more to them prior to shipping.

To enter this drawing you should:

    1) Own Polk Monitor 10's (or 7's I guess :rolleyes::p)

    2) Reply with an "In" and suggest a good record for me to check out.

On the 21st of September I will write all your names down on little pieces of paper, crumple them up, throw them all on the floor and and see which one my daughter puts in her mouth first.

The stands fit and were designed for Monitor 10, Monitor 7 and Monitor 5 per the template provided by Polk Audio, when available. I have this template if you want it mailed to you for FREE. Just FYI.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Sweet karma!! In please!

If you're into acoustic music at all, I highly recommend checking out The Grateful Deads "Reckoning" album. It's an all live acoustic show performed at Radio City Music Hall in 1980. Some of the best live Dead I've ever heard...excellent playing, and amazing recording. It's been getting a lot of listening here lately.

Rev, if the stands work on 5jrs then I would like to be in and nullify my post stating that I'm not in.

    Thanks,

Congrats! Lucky; I wish I would have seen this earlier; I hate seeing my 10's just sitting on the floor.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but Supertramp's "Crime of the Century" is very well recorded. For something more modern, Muse's "The Resistance" is another great recording.

The Monitor Series Model 10s have been deployed atop milk cartons up to now :-P

The 7As do get to live on proper Polkstands; only fitting since they've been together since 1978...

EDIT: Crime of the Century is very good; there was a MoFi Stan Riker half-speed mastered version on Licorice Pizza (I have a rather battered copy I picked up at a fleamarket way, way back).

They arrived today and THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL! Far nicer than the originals (which were vinyl covered particle board).

I will post some photographs anon. Thank you again, very much!!
