Thanks guys. She decided to cut out of work early, and the timing couldn't have been better, we got there, and not 90 minutes later he was gone. I've been there for pets plenty of times, but it was hardcore to see her sit and talk to him, calling him 'Daddy' as he took his last breath.

Something I will never forget. Everyone is doing well, considering, and all arrangements have been made for a visitation tomorrow, and services on Friday.

    I'll be back.

Russ please convey me and my families condolences to Cyndi! One thing though as terrible as it seems, being there when you pop & mom takes their last breath is really a comforting experience. I was there when both my parents took theirs and I got some spiritual peace from it.

We'll continue to pray for you folks during your grieving process.

Hang in there Bro. It's truly a gift that you were with her at that very moment. It may not seem like that now but you'll understand down the road.

I am sorry it happened but glad she was able to be there with him.

I was with my wife in 2000 when her Dad died. And I agree with you it is hardcore to see it up close like that.

My Prayers are with you guys,

My condolences to you & your family. I was fortunate to be there near the end for my grandmother. Even though her mind had long since left her, for just a few moments it was evident that she recognized me & everything would be alright. Still a tough pill to swallow.

My sincere condolences Russ, being up close to a death is very hard, I was there when my Dad passed, even though given his condition we knew he would be better off gone than to continue, it was very hard to witness

Yeah it is Russ. However, I got this sense of peace when both my mom & dad who both suffered horribly took that last breath. You know, it may have been a spiritual experience for me and my brothers & sister but I did get the sense that they knew we were there and were trying to hang on for out sakes. That was really tough to swallow.

Mr. Gates I again wish you, Cyndi and family peace in the knowledge that he truly is in a better place!:)
