Low Volume on Atrium 45 Outdoor Speakers

I have the Polk Atrium 45 Outdoor speakers. I have the speakers hooked up to a Harmon Kadron receiver. When i adjust the volume for the outdoor speakers, the inside speakers are quite loud. Conversely, if I lower the volume so the inside speakers are fine, the outdoor speakers are barely audible. Any advice?

    How are they connected? Multiple zones on the receiver?

    It could be the difference of load and efficiency in your outdoor vs indoor speakers, could a long run of wire with to low gauge of wire.

    Have they both worked well before or is this your first hook up ?
