Wash them, why? When you do that it does away with their ability to filter out high freqs and to tame the bass in the room.

Not if you use the special audiophile water treatment and line the bottom of the shower with audio magic pebbles. Then you get blacker blacks and higher highs and unequaled clarity in the placement of the instruments in the sound stage

Now that is something new, just where can I order the water and pebbles?

Do not dimiss Roman shades. Sounds like you're satisfied with the ones you have. We have pleated Roman shades in our kitchen and dining room and I am quite happy with the result. Also Roman shades in our livingroom.

We have both in the house but I prefer shades over blinds in the main areas.

Blinds and/or black out shades in bedrooms.

All my windows and doors have aluminum blinds which are the same color as the window trim. All bedrooms, the living room and the great room (home theater) have light blocking Roman shades over the blinds.

Drapes (with shears) to control sunlight/privacy in formal rooms. Drapes or curtains with blinds in less formal rooms. My wife is good at this stuff. Also, sonically, I like drapes.

Not just any tap water or pea gravel, it has to come from the mid west and be delivered on a Thursday with a full moon for the same evening.

  • At my parents' house there always were drapes on every window. Now, that I have my own home, I have no drapes in it whatsoever. I bought vertical blinds from here https://www.decoshaker.com/vertical-blinds - and their great! Easy to care, easy to use. ;D

Cool vertical blinds to be had for sure! B)

    Love em. <3

Your 1 post is a lot better than the many spammers that have posted on our forum.

Who would've thought we could upload a picture to a Co. that would print the image on vertical blinds!!

The possibilities are endless and I like that!

    Very COOL! :pB)

Drapes and sheers can be cumbersome and heavy looking when not set properly. It also requires more coordination with the room, one’s personal taste can make a success or disaster.

I recommend clients blinds, Roman shades or a combination of solar and blackout shade. This can be manual or motorized and integrated in home automation system.

It gives a slicker, neutral and functional look that won’t compete with room decoration. Sometimes, there’s a drape accent just to frame the window opening, but drapes functionality is somewhat limited...

Should have known you'd beat me to it. I actually prefer no carpet. I'm hardwood throughout...sophomoric pun intended.
