6.1 setup

Just bought a yamaha 5590 and gonna add rti28 for the rear center info. I hate the fact that I have to buy two speakers when there is only one hookup on the reciever. My question is how would you hook two up to one output, or should you use just one speaker for the rear center. I'm running fxi30's for the surround sides and thought the rti28 best matched. Thank you in advance.

Check out the flea market area, I recall seeing 1 rt28 for sale. If that doesn't pan out you might want to consider using a CSi30 for your rear channel.

I believe you can wire them in parallel, we did this on my uncle's system and it works fine. Why don't you just buy a center channel?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Would imagine that a CSi30 is the best course of action here.

I employ a CS245i as the back surround in a 6.1 system with good results, and I didn't have to buy two of them.

    Home Theater Setup...

    Front: RT800i's
    Center: CS400i
    Side Surround: FX500i's
    Rear surround: CS245i
    Sub: PSW350
    Integrated pro/amp: Denon 2802

    Two Channel Setup:

    Speakers: Wharfedale Opus 2-3
    Integrated Amp: Krell S-300i
    DAC: Arcam irDac
    Source: iMac
    Remote Control: iPad Mini

    3.2 Home Theater Setup:

    Fronts: Klipsch RP-160M
    Center: Klipsch RP-160M
    Subwoofer: SVS PB12NSD (X 2)
    AVR: Yamaha Aventage RX-A2030
    Blu Ray: Sony BDP-S790
    TV Source: DirecTV Genie

I'm trying out a dipole as my rear surround. Then in a month I'm going to try a regular center speaker and see which one I like better.
    Denon 1803 Receiver
Denon HDCD CD player and DVD Player
    DTV HD Tivo Recorder
    AR Pro Series Interconnects
    Kimber Kable
    48 inch Magnavision HD projection
    Polk CS350 center channel
    Polk RT10s
    Polk RT/fx
    AR 12" slot loaded sub

    (Mirage Omnisat system almost complete)

Thanks for all the advise. I ended up buying two rti28's and hooking them up together. the price of the rti28's would be the same as a csi30 so I figured two for the price of one.
