How about we get Justin to pin this thread up top in Off Topic right under the 10 C's.
Idea would be that when (it's already been repeatedly proven that "if" is not applicable) two or more members get into verbal fisticuffs in any thread outside of this area, someone sends them to "Time Out" until they get it out of their system.
Only the parties involved in the pissing contest post in Time Out until they're dry and their fingers cramp. No one else gets involved, comes to their buddies rescue, etc.
If the thread where the discussions of ancestry began is already in Off Topic, then let it run its course. This is THE area labeled as a flame suit area. A fact that seems to get lost both in here and outside.
Anyway that's my thought. I am just tired of having to read good threads through a series of running battles. And now the same battles are running from thread to thread. And they're the same old battles, about as entertaining as summer reruns...
Anyway that's my proposal... Anybody want to fight about it?

I agree with you Tour....funny me saying that as I have been directly causing ****........my kids have a timeout box........we should 2.
You know the part about others getting involved is where alot of the bigger battles come from.I think we should keep it between just the 2 arguing..like Troy and I.

Actually I considered a whole time out thread just for you and desert boy, but then decided you two haven't earned that... yet...
Just a thought, but even if we stick to "Time Out" as the cue for combantants to "enter the arena", we might actually call the thread the "Hall of Flame"...

Don't bait me, Dan. I've got nothing to say.
I'm genuinely sympathetic to your plight with your house and so forth but leave me out of it. To this point, my posts to you, in my mind, I've not degenerated to name calling and so forth and I've kept my tone civil.
