Jeez another "lets slam Dan" thread. Imagine that. Being new to home theater I have learned a great deal from some members on this forum and I appreciate it immensely. However Dan has been the biggest inspiration in this hobby. No matter how ridiculous any of my questions were, Dan was there to respond without any smart-**** comment. Polkatese also comes to mind. He may have been hard in his reply to my questions but never smart-****. His experience with components and cables means everything to me.

Just a shame that so many good threads started here end up with a battle of words and egos that have no bearing to the original subject matter.

my .02 worth for what it matters in this forum.

    Greg,
thanks for the compliment. I tend to stay off the battle and wear my active listening/reading hat, without getting sucked in. Dan has guided me through the maze of gears selection process, and I am very grateful to him. You know, I gained lots of great friends in this forum, it's one community that share my passion for audio and that's my take away from the forum, to learn from others experience and joke (occassionally). Anything else is just noise....:)
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Jeeze, Dan, I was being serious. Your last few posts have been pretty wheels off. Man, go work out, go for a walk, I dunno but you seem to be pretty much on edge. I was just making an honest suggestion to find a little inner peace. We aren't dealing with life and death issues here, if it isn't fun, there isn't much point to it.

I have no deep seated or underlying issues to deal with as far as you are concerned, if I got something to say, I say it and I'm over it. Believe it or not, I've got my own issues to deal with that make audio seem pretty damn insignificant right now. Our petty squabbles don't aren't even a blip on my radar. The forum is something that keeps me in touch with a life that right now seems very foreign and very far away. Wanna know what my big problems are? I haven't seen my family in 5 months and 2 more are not out of the question. We are dealing with a rat and spider infestation problem and I'm using duct tape to keep the walls of my canvas home together and we are out of damn duct tape so if any more canvas splits, I'm living outdoors. I say this not to garner any sympathy for me but maybe let people know that everyone has thier cross to bear and you need to find a way to deal with it and press on.

Take it for what it's worth.

Yup, that's the way I am going. I have a couple of minor issues with the 10.2's ergonomics/ layout, but B&K crammed an awful lot of capability into that puppy.
