* Polk Audio SDA SRS 2 speakers - $500 for both
* ADCOM Power Amp GFA-555 (200 watts per chan.) - $200
* ADCOM PreAmp GFP-555 - $100

All in very good condition. I originally paid $2000 for the speakers.
I originally paid $600 for the amp and $400 for the preamp.
I have the manuals for all.
I live in the Dallas, TX area. Would rather not ship because of size and weight.
I have put pictures and some specs for this equipment on a web site...

Wow, I'm the Dallas area, haven't seen a good deal like this in a while.

If Richard really doesn't want to ship any of it, I'll gladly go pick up the Adcom gear, and forward it on, for members here.

I wish I had $500 bones right now, DAMMIT.

    Cheers,

Very clean looking gears! Somebody should bagged 'em quick, especially with Russ' assurance package ;) Seriously, I don't need any more amplifications, but looking at a pair of 555 pre-power for $300, where else can I find such a deal? faster, you need to swipe 'em fast before I get greedy....
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I appreciate the interest in the equipment. And I’ll stand behind the price.
There’s just a couple of problems:
    • I wanted to sell all the equipment together. I’m worried if I sell
the amp alone, it’ll be harder to sell the preamp. Also, I haven’t gotten much feedback on the speakers. I thought the price was good…I’d be willing to drop the price to $700 for everything.
    • Also, I didn’t want to ship anything. That would be a major pain
and I don’t want to take the chance something will get damaged in shipment.
I just started posting for this a couple of days ago, I’d like to wait and see if I can find someone to take it all. Or if I have to break it up, find some local buyers.

    Thanks.

Oh god, whyin the hell is it that I have no freakin money when a decent set of sda srs 2's come around at a decent price..............dammit. I wish I could swing it for the speakers as I used to have a pair and man do I miss them, I should have never sold them. Plus I have some previous obligations that I have to take care of first as well......Oh Well maybe some day my ship will come in.:(

Unfortunately my money is on a lock down right now. It should free up at the beginning of next month (new house). If you still have the preamp at that time I'll probably buy it (with Russ's offered assistance) as I could always do with a new flavor and need another phono pre. This way Faster can get his amp.

In fact I may even be able to do the whole kit & kaboodle at that time and ask Russ to handle the shippings. This way Faster still gets his amp:D .

Like I said though, not now. If something else comes up, go for it.

At the $700 total, the pot's right.

2's are going for $400 on ebay.
Faster wants the amp for $200.
gidrah wants the pre for $100.

    RicLav,
If you don't need all the money right away, faster and gidrah are stand up guys. Offer them an installment plan and your Adcom's be sold! They're good for it...

And those 2's won't be long... Apparently har hasn't seen them yet... :D
    More later,

I could possibly do the $100 right now. If it's still there I'll front for another member(s) when I get the money.

Yep. Har will add to his hoard. I'd prefer for these to go to somebody else though. Especially if he'll part with his CRS+.

Either way is cool with me.

Trey, this message was meant to get a point across, and now you say some ..... nothing pertaing to my post.. so it will get buried.. I had my eye on this amp and e-mailed the seller, but a couple varmints scrafed it up with no regard to one of the first on the scene however, I have seen people jumped on for not honoring someone whi had dibs first on an item, what ever.. enjoy it

Nope didnt pertain to your post. Pertained to the seller. That he could of made MUCH MUCH more.

Yes you should have gotten first dibs. But I don't think there is any going back now.

faster100, I emailed Ric with this

I did not know the status of any offers to him, I made my offer and let him reply to me, I assume if you had a deal on going he would have told me.

The seller wanted it all sold TOGETHER and did not want to ship any of it. We "varmints" (whatever that is) paid and picked up the whole deal. Your wanting one piece of the package (and shipping it) must not have been what the seller wanted to do

    or

how real of an offer was yours?

(Varments) rodents, mice, it was a joke.. that part anyways...:D

I e-mailed the guy, my offer was what he wanted for the amp, Far as shipping, RUssman said he would pick it up for "anyone" i asked him and he said yes for me too..

you bought it, it's a done deal, You knew by reading the thread i was first one to post with interest, and second to even post at all, In the past Russman has called me on not giving dibs to the first one on the scene that's all, But i see its a select few who have to follow that golden rule, SO what your saying is, you wanted it hush hush until the deal was done so no one would counter offer or beat you guys out for the deal.. otherwise you would have said, Hey faster if you can't buy the package deal i'm gonna jumo on it and Russ wants the speakers.. that didn't happen

moral of the story" I'm not mad, no sweat.. good on ya guys for getting a good deal, a steal i mean!!

But in the future its be or be beat, NO forum golden rules, like first come first serve and give heads up when somone is gonna jumps on a deal that was previously intereted in, That's all..

and no one jump on me if i sell to the best bid, not the first..

:D any thoughts from other people??

Let's not make this a conspiracy theory. Hoosier asked me to pick the amps up for him, I did. While I was there, I closed escrow on the SRS's.

There wasn't any hush hush, or counter-offers, or anything. If someone wanted the SRS, all they had to do was go get em, just like I did. As far as the amp/pre package, I got an email saying the deal was done, I picked em up, shipped em, end of my involvement.

Seriously faster, it's a 'family' thing, we didn't want you to get any of the gear, so we all teamed up and conspired against you. ;)

    Cheers,
