I didn't see it anywhere else, so I'll throw it out.

What those are are M10b's. I have a pair identical to them, and they have what most people consider to be the evil sl2000 tweeter.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

The ones you just picked up. The little raised strip on the back of the crossovers is where my serial numbers are.

Nice score. I have 2 sets of 10b's. An earlier pair like yours and a later pair with the beveled trim on the front. Once I got them off the floor and somewhat dialed in...I could make the doors rattle. It's not thump you in the chest bass, but it's there.

That was when I had the Adcom monoblocks. I haven't hooked them up to anything since I replaced the amps with a carver.

The tweeters can be a little bright at times, even outright harsh on poorly produced cd's. I am kind of curious to see how they sound with the tube buffer I just aquired.

When the snow starts flying I am going to do a crossover and tweeter upgrade on one of the sets. I will keep at least one set forever.
    Enjoy!

One thing to remember about m10 stands is thay're tilted slightly back to put everything in the proper array, and the height and tilt really do make a big difference. I've also found that my m10's are pretty picky about placement too.

There's a thread here that has plans for stands, it would be a good idea to at least use them as a guideline.

They(10As) also sounded great in my shop last nite while one was perched on an SDA1A and the other on an SDA2B !!! WAAAAAAY off the floor and at different heights to boot !!:D (no tilting was involved)
